It’s Been a While… Let’s Catch Up!
They say a lot can happen in a year, and boy, were they right!
It’s been two years since the last blog was posted, and if a lot can change in a year, even more can change in two.
My name is Leah Alexander! I’m the Marketing Intern here, and it’s exciting and a privilege to write this blog and play a small role at The Refined Table.
Even being here for the short time I have, one thing is so evident from watching Jessica run this business… PASSION! It exudes from her and makes it easy for me to follow her lead. She’s the type of business leader I desire to be in the future: focused, patient, confident, and kind. No wonder her business is so successful!
Here’s what I’ve observed about the business and Jessica that I’m sure loyal customers like you have known for a lot longer than I have!
The relationship with customers! Something I’ve noticed that I actually love and admire is when customers come in and see me, a new face, and I can tell that they’re wondering where Jessica is. Most of the time, when those customers come in, they conversate like old friends and I just think that’s the coolest thing. She’s personal and intentional and it keeps customers loyal and engaged. Because I don’t know about you, but it’s more fun to shop from someone who is my friend as well.
CONSISTENCY!!! This store is consistent, and I love that. Even with the weekly influx of new products, the style is consistent with the niche carefully curated here. I once told her, “It doesn’t feel like small-town Cleveland, GA when I’m in this store.” And what I meant by that was, it’s up with the times; modern, contemporary, neutral, and desired, while still being classic and timeless somehow. How does she do it?! One may never know, but I think I can speak for us all when I say, we can’t get enough of it.
I think we can all agree that the products in this store aren’t merely “home decor”. The products here elevate your home. Hence the name, The Refined Table. The word “refined” is interesting to me. What comes to mind when I think about it is the process of improving. And I think that’s exactly what was achieved here: shopping here elevates, refines, and improves your house into a home.
Passion is an easy thing to spot and an even easier thing to appreciate.
I admire the passion Jessica has for what she does and what she’s created here for the past three years. It’s sparked a passion in me; a passion to love what I do, and excel at it.
So, for the season that I’m here, I’m expectant of all of the things I’ve yet to learn from Jessica and the business that is being built day by day!
God bless,
Leah Alexander
